Boilerplate — copy, paste, done

DISKO is a professional media asset manager for filmmakers and photographers that runs entirely on your Mac. It auto-tags footage with on-device AI, recognizes faces, transcribes every word with speaker labels, previews color with real-time LUTs, and exports straight to Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve — with native playback for ProRes, DNxHD, MXF, 10-bit HEVC and everything FFmpeg can decode. Nothing is uploaded unless you say so. DISKO LOCAL is a one-time purchase — no subscription ($99 founders pricing). DISKO CLOUD adds client review and collaboration, free or from $12/month, with no per-seat charges for reviewers. DISKO is built by Smith Robinson Multimedia LLC, an Emmy-winning team of filmmakers in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Three angles, ready to pitch

The rent revolt

An Emmy-winning creative director got tired of paying monthly to search his own hard drives — so he built a $99-once alternative to the subscription stack.

Local-first AI that actually shipped

Face recognition, full transcription, and scene tagging with zero cloud upload, running on the Mac’s Neural Engine. The footage never leaves the drive.

The economics

Pros pay hundreds a year across asset management, review, and hosting tools. DISKO’s bet: one payment for the desktop, reviewers ride free, and the cloud only exists when you want to share.
